At the end of each semester, I ask the students what they would tell next semester’s students on the first day of class. Here are their responses.

 

DO the review question. Do some studying after attending the lecture, watching some short videos online really helps a lot. Ask questions.


Pay attention to the lectures and review the lab review questions, would be the midterms and finals


Go to lectures.


Make sure you take lectures seriously and also practice the review questions given in the website. A lot of those questions will be present on the final exam.


Pay attention to the lectures and make sure to not miss any day of class and make sure to review the lecture notes and labs whenever you have time.


Keep up with all of the material and do not skip lectures, MAKE USE OF REVIEW QUESTIONS.

Going over lecture and lecture videos, since some material or any important information like material on the test and what to study for.


Just give yourself enough time to study and review the lecture videos, I found it helpful reviewing my notes while watching the lecture videos when preparing for exams.


Watching the lectures on youtube will help you understand the material. Remember key details from the labs. Make flashcards using the lecture outlines.


Make sure to attend all lectures, rewatching the youtube videos at a higher speed to reintroduce those concepts before a midterm, writing down all lab notes that are written on the white board to study for weekly quizzes and exit quizzes, doing all that should ensure your success in class! It is fun and enjoyable once you put in the effort and work to understand what is going on.
