At the end of each semester, I ask the students what they would tell next semester’s students on the first day of class. Here are their responses.

I would just try to make it lecture as much as you can. Watch youtube videos if you cant make it. And definitely go to labs!!!!!!

Save all of your weekly/exist quizzes and use them to study for your exams usually theres similar problems

Watch youtube videos

Do the review questions they help with the final at then end.

Take lots of notes and copy examples

There's a lot of material to cover so try not to cram all of your studying the night before a test

The second half of the semester gets information dense, LOCK IN!

Do the review questions for the final they are really helpful!! Make sure to study after every lab and lecture

The Review questions are very similar to the final, do them and make sure to take good notes during lecture. The smallest details can end up on the midterms/final.

Have a study group that keeps you accountable. The youtube videos have diagrams that you can put in your own notes. Do the review questions as you go so then you can just go over them when the final comes up instead of cramming 300 questions. Go over your lab before the actual lab period and especially look at the labs again before your weekly quiz. Office hours are convenient and Edens is a chill guy. Good luck!

I would suggest reviewing the lecture material before and after lecture so that you can follow along and maybe even ask question that you might have had during your review before class. best of luck!

Do review questions and go over lecture outlines before taking midterms/exams. If you can explain everything in lecture outlines you should be good on exams.

Be consistent with studying after every lecture so not everything piles up! Having a study group is also really helpful and it helps keep everyone on track.

Watching youtube videos from the topics covered in class really helped, it's like a supliment to learning. Don't fall behind because it'll hurt you when exams come up, which there are 5 total. Good luck future Bio-1 students :3

Make sure to study all the review questions, they can be really helpful when trying to understand the concepts. Good luck and try your best.

Study for the midterms with the labs and lecture outlines also make sure to study all of the review questions for the final! Good luck and have a good semester!

The best thing to do for this class is to watch the lecture videos either after the lecture or a few days after so you retain the information that was talked about. Also study the lecture outlines and labs before the exams, donŐt get too far behind because it is hard to catch up. Make sure you ask questions and make study groups with people in your class it helps a lot!

1. Study the material really hard before exams and take very detailed notes in lab.

I had to retake this course! SO REALLY pay attention to lectures and study for all the quizzes and midterms

Do review questions from the beginning, or it piles up at the end of the semester! Study for midterms and for quizzes, the points add up at the end! Definitely make quizlets and study the review questions. Read every lab thoroughly.

Study the review question.

- Personally there is a method to the madness of cramming, what worked for me was taking the entire day before a midterm or final to study all the topics for that exam, Good luck!

Please do the review questions ahead of time. If not, you'll be staying up last minute trying to do 300 questions and not studying the new material

Watch the videos on youtube if you don't understand a specific part. I just kept watching until I understood.

Even if you can pull all-nighters, do not pull all-nighters! You memorize better if you sleep a least 6 hours every night and make time for self care.

Stay on top of the lectures take good notes and sketch out the images

Make quizlets for each lab and study those for the weekly quizzes. Start reviewing the review questions at the end of each chapter asap or do it while the chapter is being taught. Go to lectures because it makes the information a lot easier to grasp!

Definitely make quizlets, do all the review question from day 1, and review them weekly. Also, review the labs a few days prior to get a better understanding of the material. Good luck!

Refer back to lecture videos on YouTube, in preparation for exams. Sketch diagrams, learn to "teach" information taught in lecture.

The video and lecture video did help in preparation for the exams as well for the midterms as well for the review questions was a huge help for the final exam.

Made some flashcards that way is gonna help you a lot, in the midterms and special in the final. Be prepare for ansk the weekly quizzes and exit quiz.

Try to do all the quizzes. Maybe in the final grade you are needed.

The lecture are your best friend, make sure to watch them or attend them.

Yes, I agree referring back to them are a huge help.

Even though the professor gives notes, write your own, it helps when you write it down to retain information

Yes, I agree write down something will help you.

Start the review questions after every chapter, donŐt leave to studying them at the end of the semester

Start when you are going over those chapter so at the end they are just review to you don't wait until the last minute.

You should definitely review over the weekend before Monday for the lab weekly quiz.
